Chirbury is a beautiful village surrounded by the unspoilt marches borderland. As a gateway to Wales Lake Vyrnwy, Llanrhaeadr Waterfall and Snowdonia National Park are all a short drive away.
Walking
Those wishing to enjoy a good walk can explore Mitchells Fold Stone Circle, The Stiperstones and the panoramic view that Corndon Hill has to offer. The Offa's Dyke path also runs nearby.

Historic Shrewsbury and food lovers Ludlow are both within twenty miles, while the small towns of Montgomery and Bishops Castle are well worth a visit.

The beautiful Glansevern Gardens extend over twenty acres with a stunning lake and gentle walk to the edge of the River Severn. The Derwen Garden Centre has a vast selection of plants and shrubs with a farm shop that offers a selection of the best local produce.
Historical Interest
The Herbert Arms is one of two pubs remaining on the historic Powis Estate, still owned by the famous Herbert Family. Both Powis Castle & Gardens and Ludlow Castle are also part of estate and offer a relaxing day out steeped in history.
Golf
The Lakeside Golf Club near Garthmyl, St Giles Golf Club near Newtown and The Welshpool Golf Club all offer some of the best courses in mid Wales.
